KIDS DAY is Parents and Children Together's annual
fund raising event, and 2006
marks the 13th anniversary of this partnership with the
Honolulu Advertiser.
Dmitrius's poem of "Wisdom Through the Years" will be in
the special Kid's Day edition
of the Honolulu Advertiser on May 3, 2006.

Conservation Calendar contest winners.

Tristan won the title 2006 State Scholastic Chess
Championship for the elementary division (K to 6th
grade) and is the 5th grade Chess Champion.
Also, Tristan played a vital part in helping the
Kamehameha Elementary Chess Team win the 2006
State Team Scholastic Chess Championship.
Under
Tristan's leadership, the Kamehameha Primary Chess
Team won the 2006 State Primary Scholastic Chess
Team Championship (K to 3rd grade) and Keahi
Gabriel, a 3rd grader, won the 2006 State
Scholastic Chess Championship for the primary
division (K to 3rd grade).
The 2006 Hawaii State Chess Championship was held
at Windward Community College on Saturday, March
11, 2006 from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm when they had the
award presentation. Tristan won all his
games (6 games). Tristan and the Kamehameha
Chess teams have made their presence felt in the
world of Chess.
